Coven of the Sacred Sands - Class Information
Arch Priestess Lady Renata currently offers the following courses of study:
Basic Paganism (follows an ecclectic Celtic format)
This 9 week course covers alignment with deities, history of Paganism, working with the elements, consecrations, the Ways of Magick, the structuring of writing and performing rituals, knot/cord magick, and magickal tools and their usage. Prerequisite to Practical Magick.
Practical Magick
This course covers herbs, tool making, runes, Rites of Passage, color magick, candle making, chakras, auras, 1st level Reiki, spirit guides, past life regression, multiple divinatory methods, stones and crystals. Successful completion of this course will lead to 1st degree initiation. This course is approximately 7 months in length.
2nd Degree Course
This 53 week course will enable you to look inward. In the first 6 weeks, you will explore the Jewish mysticism known as the Kabbalah; you will learn how to control the powers of the elements, understanding the philosophy and history of witchcraft, basic healing techniques, basic teaching techniques, followed by 33 weeks of intensive introspective work using the Tree of Life. Upon successful completion of this course, you will have achieved your 2nd Degree Initiation.
3rd Degree Course
This 52 week course covers the Rationale of Witchcraft and Paganism, ethics of Witchcraft, Zodiac and astrology, visiting the similarities and differences between Paganism and Christianity, theology: history and progression, uncovering the missing Goddess in organized religion, deeper issues of occultism, orthodoxy and the modern mystic, purification and sacrifice, mythology, mysteries, alchemy, demonology, and much more. After successfully completing this course, you will have achieved your 3rd Degree Initiation.
Specialty Classes
Theology - This course covers a study of multiple religious paths through the reading of many religious texts and holy books. This allows the student to expand their knowledge of other spiritual paths through open discussion and research of other cultures. This course is ongoing and only open to those who have achieved their 3rd Degree Initiation.
Strega - This course covers the study of Italian Witchcraft, its history, magick, and worship. This is Arch Priestess Lady Renata's personal hereditary path. The course is approximately 6 months in length and those interested in this course must be personally approved by Lady Renata. This is a standalone course and can be taken independently of any other classes.
Tarot - This 7 week course will enable you to read the Tarot without the use of any books by strengthening your understanding of the symbolism of the cards and your personal intuition. This is a standalone course and can be taken independently of any other classes.
Crystal Ball - This is a 4 week course on crystal gazing. It will also teach you the proper methods of preparation and care of your personal crystal ball. This is a standalone course and can be taken independently of any other classes.
Psychic Ability - This course helps you to open up your third eye and trust your intuitive faculties through various methods, which include psychometry, remote viewing, ESP, Zenner cards, and many more. This course takes approximately 20 weeks. This is a standalone course and can be taken independently of any other classes.
Aromatherapy - This is a complete course that starts with the history of Aromatherapy, then blossoms into in-depth study of the following: skincare, haircare, healing, household products, blends, essences, perfumes, the making of your own oils, magick and scents.
Witchlings - Children's classes on basic spirituality and acceptance through hands-on learning with arts and crafts, story telling, and fun activities. Parent involvement in class is encouraged.
Arts & Crafts Classes - This is a chance to explore your creative side and have lots of fun! A wide variety of creative outlets are explored through beading, woodburning, candle making, crocheting, macrame, knitting, sewing, handcrafting of many magickal objects, and much more.
All classes are one day per week and cost $15.00 per class (with the exception of the Witchlings Class which is $10.00 per class). You may take more than one course of study per week, excluding Basic Paganism through 3rd Degree (these must be done in consecutive order). Some classes will require students to bring in their own supplies and the teacher will give advance notice.
Classes are taught in a relaxed atmosphere in the separate classroom of the Arch Priestess's home, or weather permitting, in the back yard. Smokers welcome and refreshments allowed.
