Coven of the Sacred Sands is an Eclectic Pagan Religious Organization in Las Vegas, Nevada. It was founded in the year 2000 by its Arch Priestess, Lady Renata. We are a Non-Profit Organization [501(c)3], incorporated in the State of Nevada.
Although Lady Renata is a hereditary Strega, our members follow many diverse cultural paths. We enjoy learning from each other and experiencing the different spiritualities of our ancestors.
Coven of the Sacred Sands was formed to provide a spiritual, safe, and comforting environment for members to gather, learn, and worship Deity within the Earth-based and Pagan Religions. Our religion is our way of life encompassing:
Spirituality: Paganism is a way of life, a state of mind, and a way of relating to Deity and to the world around us.
Enlightenment: We are on a constant quest for answers and explanations to questions such as "Who are we?", What is our place in the grand scheme of things?", "What does reincarnation mean to us?". We are not afraid to question anything and everything about the world around us, and best of all, we do not feel a need to find the "one and only true right answer." Answers lead to more questions, which lead to more meditation, and more enlightenment.
Magick: We use the energies around us to strengthen the power within us. We do not use this power for "power over others." We carefully consider each magickal act. We believe that the ability to do magick is a gift from Deity which must not be abused.
Lady Renata offers classes in Basic Paganism and Practical Magick (Spell Craft), which is the equivalent for the requirement of the 1st Degree within Wicca. She also offers classes for 2nd and 3rd Degree. Several specialty classes are available as well.
